Naomi & Steve - Regina beach, saskatchewan - September 4th, 2024π«Ά

"Weβre quite comfortable with physical touch in public settings"
- arguably the best thing that you can write on your questionnaire when describing your thoughts on PDA. Naomi & Steve told me that their top three love languages are quality time, words of affirmation, and physical touch, which is truly my dream trio to capture in every way! When I asked them what one word they would use to describe their love story, they said they would definitely say "unexpected". Upon hearing their ceremony, their vows to each other, the speeches, and all of the stories told about them and their love story I would say that definitely proved true!
Naomi & Steve asked me to be a part of their amazing day only a few weeks before it took place, after a recommendation from her maid of honour, Jolynn! Little to find out later that we were already connected on their day, as I was working with them as their venue coordinator at the Greens, where their wedding took place! I would say that has to be the most meant to be thing that I have EVER heard!
The Ceremony...
"Let's give it up for the bride"
While Naomi was dancing her way up the aisle, their amazing officiant, Darryl, made an announcement to give it up for the beautiful bride! He then asked her to pause and pose for everyone (Steve included!) so that they can snap a quick pic and then turn off their phones to be present in the moment!
"rock, paper, scissors..."
A beautiful time capsule...
after the ceremony...π
After the ceremony and all the family photos finished up, we headed up the road a bit and headed out to one of my favourite places to take some wedding party photos, as well as their portraits! It is such a versatile area with grassy fields, beautiful rolling hills, rocky beach front, and a walking trail within moments walking distance of each other!
Tender, unposed moments... β¨
Sunset portraits... β¨
Saskatchewan is the land of living skies for a reason, I absolutely love to take advantage of the beautiful colours and glow that sunset and golden hour produce! I HIGHLY recommend taking the opportunity to sneak away from your reception to take some sunset portraits with your lover! Don't forget to build this time into your timeline for the day to ensure that you do them if they are important to you (which they should be because are you seeing these?!?!?!?)
The reception...
This night was so full of love, every speech had me and countless others in literal tears! There were so many beautiful, hilarious and authentic moments throughout the evening!
This moment during one of the toasts made me almost pee my pants, I cackled the same way that Naomi did in this photo! One thing about this wedding party, they KNEW how to captivate an audience and tell a story! It was such an amazing group to spend the day with! So much love in one space, it was the most amazing day from start to finish!

tHE ORIGIN STORY...
Naomi & Steve met and bonded on the frisbee golf field, so they had to find a way to incorporate it into their wedding! They had this net in the middle of the dancefloor and instead of the normal tradition of the clinking of the glasses, every time someone got a frisbee into the basket they had to smooch! It was such a fun change of pace!
A Song...
Steve wrote Naomi a beautiful song and preformed it to her live in front of their closest friends and family and honestly it was the most beautiful and touching moment of the evening for me!
and dance...
While we were also dancing on the beach and during their sunset portraits, their first official dance in front of everyone was so so so beautiful!
I am so incredibly grateful to have been such a large part of Naomi & Steve's special day; Iβd love to be a part of you special day too! Reach out today if you're interested in adding me to your I do crew! π«Άβ¨
